I have spent the last thirty years traveling around the world, particularly in the world of “professional cleaning”, to understand and learn how this essential service, necessary for collective life, was organized and governed across different latitudes. What we in the West call “Emerging Countries" have demonstrated in recent years an extraordinary and surprising attention and ability to accelerate and to manage effectively, especially in difficult and unexpected situations such as COVID. In recent years, I have had the honor of serving as a judge on the evaluation committee of MECHF, Middle East Cleaning Hygiene & Facilities, and I have realized that in that region of the world, the Middle East is present at all levels, from hospitality in hotels to healthcare assistance in hospitals, from catering services to hard and soft facility services, with an attention, rigor, organization, and culture related to service delivery that place it at the forefront among the most innovative and interesting realities on the planet. Among the leading actors in this extraordinary performance stands out INTERCARE, whom I have had the pleasure of meeting on several occasions, and who maintains the high level of quality and competence in the sector. All the stakeholders in a supply chain are necessary to ensure a final service of excellence, and INTERCARE has demonstrated this over the past decades, with great market consensus.
